"DNA-
Decoding the Genomes"
The Genetic
Heritage of all living creatures is controlled by a big
molecule called DNA (desoxy Ribo Nucleic Acid) . The DNA
is generally structured as well as a double helix and it
is the organized by a series of Chromosomes.
The DNA carries
the genetic information needed for the synthesis of all
"Proteins", which are chemical building blocks
of living creature creation.
Each protein
is coded by a "Gene (e.g. a single piece of DNA) Each
Gene is composed thought a long sequence of four nucleotides
Bases that are the chemical letters of the genetic information.
As a matter
of facts this nucleotide sequence is the structural basis
of the entire DNA that is subdivided in a large quantity
of sections called Genes.
Till now
Bio- Sciences do not know the real meaning of the different
composition of the "chemical alphabet" that gives
the genetic information for expressing the living organization
of proteins of each living creature.
So that Bio-Sciences
nowadays is limited to decode the Nucleotide letters aiming
to understand their hidden meaning. Recently Bio-Science
is very advanced in the knowledge of the structural composition
of DNA double helix and its sequencing in Genes. Chips:
The Complete
sequencing of the Human Genome was recently discovered and
it is composed by three billions of "nucleotide letters"
.
The study
of the sequencing of a complete Genome of each living species.
Id named "Genomics" while the decoding studies
of each single gene is called "Genetics".
Genomics
is closely correlated with "Proteomics", the last
is concerned with the studies of the complete expression
of proteins produced in a living organism.
